Dennis Miller  Collection
Founded in 1983, the Dennis Miller Collection of contemporary furniture presents designs by leading architects, interior designers, and craftspeople.

Known to be exacting in his selections, Dennis Miller has four critical criteria that must be met before a piece is considered to be a part of  DMC. They are comfort and practicality, good design, workable price points and compatibility with other furnishings already represented. In his role as “curator,” Dennis Miller’s practiced eye brings together collections and individual pieces that invariably work splendidly in combination with each other.

The collection includes works by  Clodagh Design Works, Laura Kirar, Patrick Naggar, Wendell Castle, and many others; as well as a 13-piece collection of reproductions of T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings furniture from the 1950s. DMA will be introducing two new collections in 2007;  the Morris lapidus Collection in the Spring and the David Rockwell Collection in the Summer.

The DENNIS MILLER Collection represents a commitment to quality and excellence in contemporary design
.
Collectively, there is a classic twentieth-century style to the designs that keynotes Dennis Miller’s highly successful approach.  Intimately tied to aesthetic considerations is the need to appeal to a highly diversified clientele, from contract designers looking for furnishings for hotels and restaurants to residential designers with budgets that may allow them to consider more elaborate pieces.  Therefore, flexible price points, production capabilities, quality control and scheduling are  also crucial in Dennis Miller’s assessment of a particular design or collection.

Before switching to furniture, Mr. Miller, an architect, worked with several prominent architectural firms in New York. He is a graduate of the Cornell College of Architecture, Art and Planning.

Dennis Miller and the collections he represents are regularly covered in such publications as Elle Decor, House Beautiful, The New York Times, Interior Design and Architectural Digest.
